E-mail Contact

When you contact us by e-mail—for example, with a general inquiry or a job application—certain personal data are collected. Personal data from open job applications are accessible only to authorized persons within Wayfinder, bound by confidentiality agreements. Such data are processed solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry or considering you for potential employment.

The data are stored for up to two (2) years from the date of receipt so that we may contact certain candidates if necessary.

Purposes, Legal Basis for Processing, and Possible Consequences of Not Providing Data

When you provide your personal data, their processing is limited to the purpose for which they were collected, in accordance with this Policy. Processing of your personal data includes:

  1. Taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (e.g., responding to inquiries, sending or receiving offers, communicating with you, processing job applications);
  2. Investigating suspected fraud, harassment, physical threats, or other violations of laws, regulations, or third-party rights, or any suspicious behavior deemed inappropriate;
  3. Compliance with legal obligations to which Wayfinder is subject (e.g., disclosures required by law, regulations, or court orders);
  4. For purposes related to legal proceedings, establishment, defense, or exercise of legal claims.

Providing personal data for the above purposes (1)–(4) is voluntary; however, refusal to provide such data may prevent Wayfinder from entering into a contract with you, responding to your inquiries, providing services, or processing your job application.

Data Recipients

Your personal data may be disclosed, strictly in connection with the purposes described above, to:

  • entities involved in postal or e-mail delivery, data analysis, customer support, and similar services, usually acting as data processors on behalf of Wayfinder (e.g., cloud service providers);
  • IT system maintenance providers;
  • persons authorized by Wayfinder to process personal data, bound by confidentiality obligations (employees);
  • business partners and associates of Wayfinder, under appropriate contractual confidentiality obligations;
  • competent authorities and public bodies when required by applicable law or in good faith (e.g., in compliance with legal obligations or during legal proceedings involving Wayfinder, to protect and defend its rights or property, or to ensure personal safety in urgent circumstances);
  • business partners for their own purposes only in accordance with the applicable legal basis.

Data Retention Period

Wayfinder will process your personal data only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes described above, unless otherwise stated in this Policy. Depending on the purpose, your personal data will be processed until you exercise your right to object or withdraw consent for processing.

Additionally, Wayfinder will retain your personal data for as long as necessary or permitted by applicable law.

In accordance with applicable law, you have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, or restriction of processing; to object to processing activities; and to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency – AZOP).

You also have the right to know the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your personal data have been or will be disclosed, including recipients in third countries.
